Poem (2 months old)
Swimming in a pool regret
Feel's so refreshing
It is not what we accomplish
But what we had hoped to
Those are the thoughts
We think at night
We fall asleep dreaming of what if's
And not of what not's
I'll write a song for whom has not deserved
And I'll be forever daydreaming
What once was used
Now has use
To not be friendly
For one that has not earned friendship
Because once it is given
A message is sent
And once you let someone know
Your heart once yours ; now lent
Thrice years since
And still not forgotten
Scarred from the distant
Compassion yielded rotten
Sorrow gone mad with disgust
Remembering phrases
armed with hurt and pain
Yet seemingly forgetful
Through all my disdain
Now to live my life
without need or care
because in the end, my friend
are we really worse for ware?
Harsh misgivings i'll never forget
but reading this poem, tell me
were your words well spent?
